Women At The Well Ministry

John 4:5-30

Our Mission

To stir every woman’s heart and move their spirit to edify and glorify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Women at the Well ministry was birthed by Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior on November 2, 2001. The ministry is a body of Christian women uniting as one to:

  1. Spread the Gospel
  2. Empower women to be of service to God
  3. Grow spiritually
  4. Fellowship with one another
The Women at the Well strive to make a difference in the lives of our family, our children, our community, and others that we may impact. We recognize the need for and importance of prayer. We encourage our Christian sisters to be prayerful at all times as we are admonished in 1 Thessalonians 5:17. We seek to instill in our sisters the importance of dressing and adorning ourselves with the Armor of God. We encourage our sisters to prepare themselves to minister to others with their God-given gifts. The emphasis of the meetings is to explore ways that we can apply biblical principles in situations that affect us as women of God by reading, studying and applying the truth as found in God’s Holy Word.

The Origin

November, 2001 by the grace of the spirit and under our Lord and savior, sanctifying influence, The Women at the Well was spiritually birthed. The Women at the Well ministry is a body of, Christian women uniting as one to spread the gospel. The ministry empowers all women to grow spiritually.

Women at the Well Accomplishments

2016:

We remained committed to the Little Dresses for Africa (LDFA) program. We were blessed to have been able to mail approximately 350 items in 2016. Founder Rachel O’Neill describes the garments as “little Ambassadors”. LDFA is a Christian non-profit 501c3 organization that provides little dresses and britches to girls and boys around the world. These garments are made from pillowcases and shirts and are sewn by volunteers nationwide and in other countries. Information about this ministry can be found at: littledressesforafrica.org.

2017:

One upcoming event for WATW is a trip to the African American Museum on Saturday, February 11, 2017. Sis. Ashley Sowls was blessed to obtain 70 tickets for the event. We encourage you to come with us as we take a look back in our history and reflect on how far God has brought us.

Meeting Times: Held the third Saturday of each month at various times.
