Men’s Ministries

About the Men’s Ministries at ABCOC

We believe God has ordained men as spiritual heads of their households and as examples in the greater community. We seek to help men understand, prepare for and execute that role. The question; how do we achieve these objectives? The answer; men must witness other men working in Christ, being led by the Holy Spirit, and applying the Word to their lives – Christ in Action. The ministry is not just another service or program, but a true reflection of how Jesus Christ has changed men and continues to perfect us.

“A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than any brother.” (Proverbs 18:24)

Our Core Values

  • Discipleship – To train, equip and develop men to be like Christ
  • Evangelism – To lead other to a personal relationship with Christ so that He is Lord, Savior and Master of their lives.
  • Accountability – To encourage men to participate in church activities and understand the purpose of their commitment
  • Leadership Training – To develop effective leaders, who in turn will teach others in order to accomplish the mission of God’s Church
  • Missions – To meet both the physical and spiritual needs of our church and community in order to demonstrate the Love of Jesus Christ

Purpose Statement

Assist men to mature spiritually & live pleasingly unto our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Objectives

  • Men developing Godly relationships between one another.
  • Challenging men to examine lifestyles through teaching from the word of God.
  • Organize and participate in local activities to enlarge and strengthen the body of men at Antioch.
  • Equipping men to disciple other brothers in Christ.

Faith Sunrise Prayer Ministry

OBJECTIVES

  • We provide a place and time for men to come and fellowship in the spirit of Jesus Christ.

To Pray and share the word of Jesus Christ together, that the word of God will strengthen and provide healing and deliverance, and to victoriously face the challenges that men face daily. “Iron is sharpening iron” through this ministry.

Jesus has blessed the ministry and the evidence speaks in volumes for itself. Together, men have been healed, delivered, their families have been blessed, strengthened and restored.

This was shared through dynamic testimonies from Antioch and surrounding churches that have taken advantage of our standing invitation: “Whosoever will”.

Meeting Times: Held at 6:00 a.m. on every Saturday

Women’s Ministry

About Women at the Well

To stir every woman’s heart and move their spirit to edify and glorify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Women at the Well ministry was birthed by Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior on November 2, 2001. The ministry is a body of Christian women uniting as one to:

  1. Spread the Gospel
  2. Empower women to be of service to God
  3. Grow spiritually
  4. Fellowship with one another

The Women at the Well strive to make a difference in the lives of our family, our children, our community, and others that we may impact. We recognize the need for and importance of prayer. We encourage our Christian sisters to be prayerful at all times as we are admonished in 1 Thessalonians 5:17. We seek to instill in our sisters the importance of dressing and adorning ourselves with the Armor of God. We encourage our sisters to prepare themselves to minister to others with their God-given gifts. The emphasis of the meetings is to explore ways that we can apply biblical principles in situations that affect us as women of God by reading, studying and applying the truth as found in God’s Holy Word.

The Origin

November, 2001 by the grace of the spirit and under our Lord and savior, sanctifying influence, The Women at the Well was spiritually birthed. The Women at the Well ministry is a body of, Christian women uniting as one to spread the gospel. The ministry empowers all women to grow spiritually.
